Ultrafast isomerization dynamics of bisazobenzenes

Ultrafast transient absorption was used to study the isomerization dynamics of bisazobenzenes - a model system for multiphotochromic constructs. The dynamics and the quantum efficiency is strongly dependent on the connectivity pattern between the individual units.
