Der Band geht auf eine internationale Konferenz der Leipziger Forschergruppe „Sprachtheoretische Grundlagen der Kognitionswissenschaft0 zurück. Die Beiträge renommierter Sprachwissenschaftler befassen sich mit zentralen Fragen der Ereignisstrukturierung und dem Zusammenwirken von Syntax, Semantik und Prosodie bei der Informationsstrukturierung. Der Band leistet einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Erforschung der Schnittstellen zwischen grammatischen Modulen, Kognition und lautlicher Realisierung. Er bietet innovative Beiträge u. a. von Manfred Bierwisch, Ewald Lang, Marga Reis, Werner Frey und Rosemarie Lühr. The volume comments on different interfaces between linguistic and extralinguistic knowledge. The articles analyze the conditions under which the linguistic structure of an utterance provides its interpretation in a given context, while the authors look at the conditions that hold for the transformation of a conceptual represented message into the linguistic structure. For every natural language, this process depends on its grammatical system. The authors discuss the problem from the lexical, semantic, syntactic and prosodic points of view. In addition, the volume debates questions of the representation of linguistic and conceptual structures from a formal logical perspective. |
