Description
Summary:In this contribution, calculation machinery and code to compute different performance indices, which are necessary for the parametric optimization, are proposed. Moreover, a short review about parametric optimization is carried out. It is highlighted that normally only the ISE (Integral Square Error) performance index is used for control system design. One reason for that is the existence of several numerical algorithms to compute it along the infinite trajectory at once. Finally, an optimal design of a PI controller is used to illustrate and compare the new algorithms.
