Eu égard à cette précision contextuelle seront exposées dans cet article les différentes institutions linguistiques qui existent pour l’allemand. Dans l’espace linguistique allemand, les académies de langue des pays voisins servaient seulement de modèles, pendant que se constituaient surtout des sociétés savantes dédiées à la langue qui s’investissaient dans la défense de la langue.
