Stück für Stück: Die N-N-Bindungen von Hydraziden an Zirconiumzentren werden leicht gespalten. Diese Spezies reagieren daher wie Metallanitrene, sodass verbrückende Dinitridosulfat(IV)- und Dinitridoselenat(IV)-Liganden Atom für Atom aufgebaut werden können (siehe Schema; TBS=tBuMe2Si).
