Unfortunately, most current vector systems lack either sufficient transduction efficiency or an appropriate safety profile. Standard single-stranded recombinant adeno-associated virus 2 (AAV2)-based vectors offer an advantageous safety profile, yet lack the required efficiency in human PBPC. |
