Approximately 75% of all MID patients exhibited small-vessel disease rather than throm boembolism from the extracranial arteries and the heart, as judged by extracranial and transcranial Doppler sonographies, computerized cerebral tomographies, EEGs, and, if necessary, 2-D echocardiographies. | ||
