The biopsy showed diffuse dermal proliferation of irregular thin-walled vascular channels lined by bland endothelial cells (see Figure 1); human herpesvirus type 8 (HHV-8) was intensely positive on immunohistochemistry and a diagnosis of Kaposi sarcoma (KS) was made. | ||
