520 |a Ziel des Beitrags ist eine erste Skizze eines metatheoretischen Rahmens, der es erlauben würde, die soziologischer Rechtsextremismusforschung sowohl mit Blick auf das Phänomen selbst als auch dessen Analyse zu systematisieren. Dazu greift er grundlegende sozialtheoretische und vor-sozialtheoretische Unterscheidungen auf und zeigt auf, wohin diese den Blick lenken könn(t)en: Raum und Zeit, Weltbezüge sowie die Aggregationsebenen des Sozialen, auf denen verschiedene sozialtheoretische Grundprobleme verortet werden können. Bringt man all diese Unterscheidungen zusammen zu einem multidimensionalen Raster, wird schemenhaft erkennbar, was ein Forschungsprogramm zu Rechtsextremismus abdecken müsste, wenn es den Anspruch einer systematischen und umfassenden Bestandsaufnahme und Analyse erfüllen wollte. 
520 |a Our contribution aims at sketching a meta-theoretical framework aimed at systematizing research into the far right both with respect to the phenomenon itself and its analysis. For this purpose, we draw on fundamental distinctions derived from social theory and general philosophy, and show where they could direct our attention: distinctions related to time and space, relations to the world, and levels of social aggregation where various fundamental social-theoretical problems are situated. Combined to a multi-dimensional matrix, they allow a glimpse on what a systematic and comprehensive research programme into the far right would have to entail.
