Description
Summary:Lepton flavor universality in rare ๐‘ โ†’๐‘  transitions is tested for the first time using ๐ต0๐‘  meson decays. The measurements are performed using ๐‘โข๐‘ collision data collected by the LHCb experiment between 2011 and 2018, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fbโˆ’1. Branching fraction ratios between the ๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐œ™โข๐‘’+โข๐‘’โˆ’ and ๐ต0๐‘  โ†’๐œ™โข๐œ‡+โข๐œ‡โˆ’ decays are measured in three regions of dilepton mass squared, ๐‘ž2, with 0.1<๐‘ž2<1.1, 1.1 <๐‘ž2 <6.0, and 15<๐‘ž2<19 GeV2/๐‘4. The results agree with the standard model expectation of lepton flavor universality.
