Zusammenfassung:In this study, we investigate how parameters of the diffusion model correlate with variables concerning subjective aging. The assessment has been part of a longitudinal study on attitudes toward aging and technology. The cognitive assessment consisted of a telephone interview and an online assessment. During the telephone interview, the 6-CIT, backward digit recall, and a short form of a problem solving questionnaire (PLF; König et al., 1985) were administered. The online assessment consisted of the short version of the Hagen Matrices Test (HMT-S; Heydasch, Haubrich, & Renner, 2013), a lexical decision task (LDT; Ratcliff, Gomez, & McKoon, 2004), and a color discrimination task (CDT; Voss, Rothermund, & Voss, 2004). Data from the latter two tasks was used for drift diffusion modeling (Ratcliff, 1978). - From the longitudinal dataset, the following measures from the most recent available measurement (T4) were used: subjective age, a short version of measuring awareness of age-related change of loss and gain experiences (AARC; Kaspar et al., 2018), and attitudes toward own aging (ATOA; Lawton, 1975). - The preregistration takes place prior to the linkage of cognitive and longitudinal dataset (which also includes the sociodemographic information). This ensures that no hypothesis could be tested prior to this preregistration.
