Observation and investigation of the Tcc[bar]β’1β’(4430)+ structure in B+ βπβ‘(2β’S)β’K0Sβ’π+ decays
The first four-dimensional amplitude analysis of the π΅+ βπβ‘(2β’π)β’πΎ0Sβ’π+ decay is performed with proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at βπ =13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fβ‘bβ1. The data cannot be fully explained by π΅+ βπβ‘(2β’π)β’πΎ*+ contributions alo...

| Summary: | The first four-dimensional amplitude analysis of the π΅+ βπβ‘(2β’π)β’πΎ0Sβ’π+ decay is performed with proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at βπ =13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fβ‘bβ1. The data cannot be fully explained by π΅+ βπβ‘(2β’π)β’πΎ*+ contributions alone. A significantly better description of the data is obtained by adding a π+πβ’Β―π contribution decaying to πβ‘(2β’π)β’π+. The properties of the π+πβ’Β―π structure are consistent with the exotic state ππβ’Β―πβ’1β’(4430)+ reported in the isospin-related Β―π΅0 βπβ‘(2β’π)β’πΎββ’π+ decay. Effects of a possible ππβ’Β―πβ’1β’(4430)+ βΒ―π·*1β’(2600)0β’π·+ decay mode on the ππβ’Β―πβ’1β’(4430)+ βπβ‘(2β’π)β’π+ mass distribution are investigated through a FlatteΜ parametrization, providing constraints on the relative decay strength. A description of the ππβ’Β―πβ’1β’(4430)+ structure using the triangle singularity mechanism is studied and also found to be consistent with the data. |
