Search for K0S(L) → π+ π− μ+ μ− decays at LHCb

A search for 𝐾0S⁡(L) →𝜋+⁢𝜋−⁢𝜇+⁢𝜇− decays is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb−1. Summary:A search for 𝐾0S⁡(L) →𝜋+⁢𝜋−⁢𝜇+⁢𝜇− decays is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb−1. No 𝐾0S⁡(L) →𝜋+⁢𝜋−⁢𝜇+⁢𝜇− signals are found and upper limits are set for the first time on the branching fractions ℬ(𝐾0S→𝜋+⁢𝜋−⁢𝜇+⁢𝜇−)<1.4×10−9 and ℬ(𝐾0L→𝜋+⁢𝜋−⁢𝜇+⁢𝜇−)<6.6×10−7, at the 90% confidence level.
