Diese Arbeit setzt sich eine theologische Ortsbestimmung des Erntedankfestes zum Ziel, in der die ohne Zweifel wichtige Frage nach dem „Wofür“ des Dankes mit dem über allen Zweifel erhabenen „Dass“ des Dankes und dem manchmal in Zweifel geratenen „Wie“ des Dankens ins Gespräch gebracht werden soll, um daraus die Relevanz eines spezifisch christlichen Erntedankfestes in der gottesdienstlichen Praxis wie der Lebenswirklichkeit der Gottesdienstbesucher hervorzuheben. So soll das Erntedankfest als eine Grammatik des Dankens erhoben werden, die der Gemeinde angesichts der veränderten gottesdienstlichen und gesellschaftlichen Voraussetzungen Hilfestellung sein will, ein Fest neu zu entdecken. Die Arbeit besteht aus vier Teilen. In einem ersten Teil „Erntedank gefeiert“ wird analysiert, wie heute Erntedank in den Gemeinden gefeiert wird. Die besondere Gottesdienstform des Familiengottesdienstes wird ausführlich betrachtet. Hinzu tritt ein Blick auf Entstehung und Geschichte des Erntedankfestes, die liturgischen Texte und Lieder wie auch das Brauchtum zum Fest. Auch die nordamerikanische Thanksgiving-Tradition und deren Bedeutung für die Feier des Erntedankfestes werden berücksichtigt. Ein zweiter Teil „Erntedankfest gepredigt“ analysiert Predigtmeditationen und Predigten zum Erntedankfest aus der jungen Vergangenheit und zeigt Aspekte einer Predigt am Erntedankfest auf. Ein dritter Teil fragt nach der biblischen Grundlage des Erntedankfestes und nimmt die biblischen Begriffe Dank und Ernte in biblischer Perspektive auf. In einem letzten Teil „Erntedank gefeiert“ werden nun die Konsequenzen dieser Erkenntnisse für eine Feier des Erntedanks gezogen. Der theologische Ort des Erntedankfest ist das Bekenntnis und das Lob des dreieinigen Gottes, der an dem Menschen an Leib und Seele handelt. Nicht eine Ethik des Teilens, sondern eine Vielfalt des Dankes ist der Mittelpunkt des Erntedankfestes. Deshalb gelte es die Gemeinde in eine „Grammatik des Dankes“ zu führen, die dem Gläubigen hilft, Formen des Dankes zu lernen und einzuüben, ihr Formen an die Hand zu geben, damit sie ihren je eigenen Dank Ausdruck verleihen können. Dabei geht es um einen Dank mit „Herzen, Mund und Händen“. Werden am Erntedankfest Formen des Dankes gelernt, können sie auch weiterreichen, über die Feier eines punktuellen Erntedankfestes im Oktober hinaus in den Alltag des Einzelnen hin zu einem umfassenden Lebensdank. | ||

The object of this work is finding the specific christian and theological position of the harvest-thanks, in which the question about the "for what" of thanks with the undoubtedly important "that" of thanks is supposed to be brought into the conversation with the sometimes doubtful "how" to thank into the conversation, to emphasize the relevance of a specific Christian harvest-thanks for the practice of Divine service and the life reality of its visitors. So the Thanksgiving Day is supposed to be raised as a „grammar of thanking“ that wants to help the parish to discover an old festival in a new way. This work consists of four parts. In a first "The celebration of Thanksgiving“ it is analyzed how harvest thanks are celebrated today in the parishes. Also the special divine service form of family-divine-service is considered. Important for understanding Thanksgiving is a look onto origin and history of the harvest-thanks, the liturgical texts and songs as also the customs for the festival. Also the north-American Thanksgiving tradition and their importance for the celebration of the Harvest-thanks are considered. A second part "Preaching Thanksgiving" analyzes meditations and sermons to the Thanksgiving Day from the young past and shows aspects of a sermon at the Thanksgiving Day today. A third part, „The Foundation of Thanksgiving“ asks for the biblical basis of Thanksgiving, looks onto the biblical terms of „Harvest“ and „Thanks“ and reflects these biblical terms. The last part „Celebrating Thanksgiving“ draws the consequences of these results for a celebration of Thanksgiving today. The confession and the praise of the triune God who acts at the human being at body and soul are the theological place of Thanksgiving. Not an ethic of division or sharing the property, but a variety of thanks are the center of Thanksgiving. Therefore it is importont to lead the parish into a "grammar of thanks", that helps to learn and practice forms of thanks, so that the parish or the single visitor is able to express their own thank, with „hearts, mouth and hands“. Forms of the thanks are learned at the Thanksgiving Day, they can pass on too, about the celebration of a punctual harvest-thanks in October into the everyday life of the individual for some comprehensive life-thanks. | ||
