| Summary: | The Interpersonal Emotion Regulation Questionnaire--German Version (IERQ; Pruessner et al., 2020) measures interpersonal emotion regulation. The original 20-item IERQ (Hofmann, Carpenter, & Curtiss, 2016), which was intended to record interpersonal regulatory processes that aim to improve emotional negative states. The items are grouped equally into the dimensions enhancing positive affect, perspective taking, soothing and social modeling. Original items were modified by translating the items from English to German using forward-backward translation procedures. Psychometric evaluation of the data was conducted using two samples of adolescents and adults (aged 17-70 years). Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and convergent and discriminant validity were reported.
