Kurt et al., https://doi.org/10.1093/eurheartj/ehaf937.In this issue of the European Heart Journal, Kurt et al.1 present findings from the UK Biobank on the predictive role of high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in major adverse cardiac events (MACE) in participants that were apparently healthy at enrolment. A total of 448 653 participants were enrolled and followed up for a mean of 15 years.
