Riassunto:Extract: Bedaquiline (Bdq) was authorised for the treatment of multidrug-resistant (MDR) tuberculosis (TB) in 2014 in Europe. It is part of the preferred BPaLM regimen (Bdq, pretomanid, linezolid (Lzd), moxifloxacin (Mfx)), of individualised MDR-TB treatment and new MDR-TB regimens recommended by the recently updated World Health Organization guidelines [1]. Most trials aiming to develop new regimens for drug-resistant TB include Bdq, making it the most important drug at present.
